Every one of them tells a story. And many leave an imprint on our memory for the remainder of our lives. Young and old, longtime friend or complete stranger, I have always been fascinated with how cameras can capture a moment. Those fleeting expressions of joy, apprehension, surprise, fatigue, and love.
While most photographs can be placed within one category or another, there are those snapshots that resonate beyond the boundaries of time. Many of our scrapbooks are filled with visions of another era, another hairstyle, and people and places long gone. Some photos, however, stand the test of time.
There will always be photoworthy landmark destinations printed on a map. Sometimes, however, it is thrilling to journey down a back road, go over the crest and suddenly encounter a new landscape or object which takes your breath away. You do not find these photo opportunities. They find you.
